Saturday Thrift Shoppin’

Special Saturday Hours!

April 12, 10:00am–2:00pm

The Thrift Shop is a great resource for re-purposing unwanted or gently used items!  Bring your kids and find spring clothing, sports equipment, and lots of family games!  Stock up on Coug wear and items for your home.  Like us on Facebook at “thethriftshoppullman”.

The Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop is Pullman’s oldest recycled goods store featuring clothing for all ages, books, toys, sports gear, housewares, gifts, crafts, jewelry, and many useful and unique items.  The Community Congregational Church women’s group started the shop over 65 years ago to fund a new kitchen.  It just grew from there into a tidy, well stocked store that serves people from throughout the Palouse region.  The prices are genuinely low because it is staffed entirely by volunteers.  A portion of the proceeds are returned each year to local charities such as United Way, Alternatives to Violence, Community Action Center and Pullman Child Welfare’s food bank.  A 24/7 donation bin at the corner of Ruby and Campus takes the goods.  No furniture please, due to space.  Parking is free in the church lot while shopping.   Ruby Street entrance on lower level of church.

Hours:  Tuesdays 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays  noon to 4:00 p.m.
Phone: 509-334-6632.

Reduce, Reuse, Simplify, and Save!

Come see our latest additions. The Houseware’s section is loaded with items for your kitchen and bed and bath.  We hope you’ll stop by and enjoy low prices and find a treasure or two!

Recycled Art Project

We still needs lots of caps and lids!  I know its hard to believe, but we need many different colors and sizes of caps and lids in order to have enough to design and assemble a GIGANTIC mosaic symbolizing peace.  We are hatching plans to create panels to prop against the (ugly, grafittied) concrete retaining wall across Campus St, behind our neighborhood garden.  We need as many of these caps/lids as you can save, in as many colors as possible, so please don’t throw them away!  Save them and  bring them to the church as soon as you are able.  Thanks!

Out with the Old, In with the New

Re-purpose all the “stuff” you need to get out of your house this winter.  Bring gently used clothing, shoes, and items in good working condition to The Thrift Shop.  At this time of year especially, the shop can use good items to restock the shelves.  Drop donations anytime in the little grey shed on the corner of Campus and Ruby Streets.  Thanks!
