Our faith teaches us to care about what happens to the whole family of creation. Because of the values and hope we learn from Jesus, stories of our faith, and our lived experience with one another, we become deeply engaged with issues that make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters. And while our political system often reflects the brokenness of the human family, we allow others to dictate the outcome of these issues if we don’t participate by voting.
Please vote. And if you, too, feel strongly about encouraging people to vote, come and join in a Get Out the Vote evening at the church in conjunction with Washington United for Marriage. Join us Thursday, November 1. The church will be open 5:30-8:30 p.m.
For more information on faith and voting, see the UCC’s Our Faith, Our Vote site.
