New Members Class

NEW MEMBERS CLASS

If you are new to CCUCC or simply new to church membership, you’re invited to join Pastor Steve for a 3-week New Members Class, Sundays @ 9:15 AM (Oct 29 – Nov 12) in the Fireside Room to explore the theology of membership, what that really means, and how to become more involved in this congregation.

Upcoming Faith Development Opportunities for TEENS

UPCOMING TEEN CLASS OPPORTUNITIES—We are happy to announce two upcoming 3-week teen faith development series at CCUCC for middle + high school youth!

November 2017 Teen Series: WHAT IS CHURCH?

11/5 + 11/12 + 11/19, Sundays @ 9:15 AM

We’ll use films, dialogue, service, and collaboration to explore everything from what church means to you and the liturgy we use at CCUCC, to church as family and other ways of doing church. What does it mean to BE the church instead of go to church? We’ll also be working together to make a list of what other local faith communities you’d like to visit in the new year as part of an Interfaith Neighbors series!

December Teen Series: FAITH AND FOOD

12/3 + 12/10 + 12/17, Sundays @ 9:15 AM

We’ll use films, dialogue, cooking, and service work to explore themes of food, community, and church. We’ll bake communion bread, plan a Snack Pantry service project, be involved at the congregational holiday dinner, and discuss food security in our community.

In This Together: Adult Film + Dialogue Series

This 5-week film series by Work of the People will feature a variety of ecumenical voices, looking at areas of fracture and exploring ideas of how we can come together regardless of race, nationality, faith, sexual orientation, as one humanity for the healing of the world. The class will include short films and group dialogue.

We’ll meet Sundays at 9:15 AM in the CCUCC Conference Room.

This is a 5-Sunday series, October 15 – November 12.

Stewardship Sunday: November 12, 2017

We invite you to begin considering how you will support the life and ministries of CCUCC for the coming year.

Pledges can be made through the church office in the coming weeks. Sunday, November 12, 2017 will be Stewardship Sunday.
