Family Promise

We host families at the church about every 3 months.  We try to provide a warm, caring welcome for these families who are experiencing a difficult time and are currently homeless. If you can help set-up following worship, clean-up before church the following Sunday , make part of a meal, serve as a host in the evenings (5:30-8:30 pm), stay overnight (8:30 pm – 7:30 am.  *This is a particular need, so please volunteer if you are able), help with breakfast on Saturday morning, or do laundry, we would appreciate your help. For information about Family Promise of the Palouse, what volunteering involves or to let us know how and when you might help please fill out the form below. Sue Schell will get back to you about details.  You can also find blue volunteer forms on the sign up table at the church.

Family Promise Volunteer Training—September 12,  6-7:30 p.m.

In order to increase the quality of the service we provide, the Family Promise organization makes a point of having all volunteers (particularly those who interact with clients in the evenings and overnight) attend a training event.  If you’d like to volunteer with Family Promise, or if you have already volunteered but you’ve not been able to make it to one of our volunteer training events, this one’s for you! Come and enjoy a night full of information on Family Promise and connect with those who’ve been working in the program and have lots of insight to share. Desert will also be served.  Please contact Sue Schell with questions.
