Information about New Beginnings

NEW BEGINNINGS—Monday, May 18, 7:00-9:00 pm

The next step in the New Beginnings process is an all-congregation meeting 7 PM Monday May 18 in our church.

Dr. Ruth Fletcher will lead the meeting. Dr. Fletcher is from Great Falls, Montana, where she works with the Disciples of Christ and New Beginnings.

In that meeting, Dr. Fletcher will explain to all of us the process that we will use to make Big Decisions about the life of our church.

The process includes participation in a series of small group discussions led by people in the church who have already volunteered. In those meetings, we will learn what is in our church assessment report.

The Group Discussion leaders, meeting dates, times, and places are listed below. Please sign up for one of the groups in church May 17, or on Monday May 18 at the 7 PM meeting in the church.

We hope to see all of you 7 PM Monday May 18 and in the small group meetings!

NEW BEGINNINGS—Monday, April 13, 7:00-8:30 pm—If you are an active participant of CCUCC and are interested in helping clarify a vision for the church, please attend on April 13!  We need your voice and insight.  We’ll meet our contact person from the New Beginnings* organization, Richard Kurrasch, who will be getting to know our church through all of you.  Please clear your calendar and come to this important time.  —Chandra will be here to provide childcare.

*We have contracted with New Beginnings church Assessment Service, to help us to focus and make some decisions about the future direction of Community Congregational United Church of Christ.

  • Find an introductory article by CCUCC Moderator, Doug Blanks Hindman, in the March 2015 newsletter.
  • Here is a Prezi containing general information about the visioning and decision-making process we are embarking upon with one another.

New Beginnings, and their partner organization, Hope Partnership, utilizes Appreciative Inquiry in order to help us work from the strengths of our organization.
