Lent, Ashes, and Moving Forward

Ash Wednesday Service
Wednesday, February 18, 7:00 pm
Ash Wednesday is traditionally observed as a solemn, fairly grim ritual in which we remember that we came from ashes and will each return to that state someday. While the ritual focuses on our mortality and usually our sins and shortcomings, it seems to us to be a great opportunity to reflect on where we really are in life, and let go of those things that weigh us down.
Join us in beautiful Brewster Hall for a simple service of prayer, music, the opportunity to receive ashes, and the chance to reflect upon and let go of some things that are weighing us down/keeping us stuck.
Our hope is that our time together will help us move forward into a deeper connection with God, others, and life itself.
